Český Krumlov is a beautiful town in southern Bohemia. The historic center was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1992. It is an excellent example of an old Central European town. These are the main sights to definitely see: Český Krumlov Castle, Baroque theatre, The Church of St. Vitus, Unity Square, Latrán.

Kutná Hora is a town in the Central Bohemian Region. It has about 20,000 inhabitants. The centre of Kutná Hora, including the Sedlec Abbey and its ossuary was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 because of its outstanding architecture and its influence on subsequent architectural developments in other Central European city centres.

Telč is a town in the Vysočina Region. It is well known for its historic centre, which is protected by law as an urban monument reservation and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Gothic castle, Gothic houses and water fortification were built in the mid-14th century. The development ended during the Hussite Wars. The town was conquered by the Hussites but the castle resisted.

Olomouc is a major city in Moravia. Its well preserved Old Town belongs to the most beautiful ones in Czechia and boasts a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has numerous historic religious buildings. The most prominent church is Saint Wenceslas Cathedral founded before 1107. If you like visiting charming historic cities and don’t like the kind of crowds, then Olomouc may be a perfect destination for you.

Kroměříž is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic. The picturesque historical city with town houses and arcades, the monumental archbishop’s chateau, the beautiful gardens and the archbishop’s cellars with their unique wine are a must see. The Gardens and Castle at Kroměříž were added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1998.

Litomyšl Castle, a textbook example of the Italian Renaissance and a UNESCO monument, was built between 1568-1581 by Vratislav of Pernštejn. The pride of the castle is the theater from the 18th century with preserved classical scenes. The English park and a French garden with statues from the 18th century are also worth visiting.

The castle was a representative residence of Charles IV and his son Wenceslas IV only, i.e. till 1419. As a fortress, Karlštejn Castle protected the crown jewels, holy relics, and royal archives till the 17th century. Over the centuries the castle has always been in hands of the king or a state institution, never in private hands. Nowadays it is owned by the state.

Mikulov is situated in the very heart of a wine region, that is why it also offers vine paths with stops in local public or family wine cellars or wine tasting centres. For many the reasons for a visit include history embodied in architectural monuments and beautiful moravian nature.

Brno is a city in Moravia, relatively close to Czechia’s borders with Austria and Slovakia. It is the country’s second largest city after Prague. The city boasts quite a large number of architectural landmarks and enjoys a rich cultural life. You also should not miss the large choice of restaurants and bistros it offers.
